FITNAH OF SUMMER

Yaa ayyuhalladhiina aamanu taqullaahi haqqatu qaatihi wa laa tamuutunna illaa wa antum muslimuun!

My dear brothers and sisters in Islam.....

“O you who believe! Follow not the footsteps of Shaitaan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Shaitaan, then, verily he commands Al-Fahshaa’ and Munkar….
Suurah an-Nuur 24:21

And one of the doorways to Shaytaan is through our vision, our gaze….

“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts). That is purer for them. Verily, Allaah is All-Aware of what they do.”
Suurah an-Nuur 24:30

Truly the days of summer brings us nakedness right before our eyes, whether we want to see it or not…

Prophet Yusuf’s example is vivid in our minds, how he was tested with the wife of Aziz and he strongly turned his back to the fitnah and trap of Shaitaan….

Allaah’s Messanger (saws) said:” I have not left after me any turmoil more injurious to men than the harm done to the men because of women.”
[Narrated by Usamah ibn Zaid. Sahih Muslim volume IV B]

“Allaah has fixed the very portion of adultery, which a man will indulge in. There will be no escape from it. The adultery of the eye is the look, and the adultery of the ear is the listening to voluptuous (song or talk), the adultery of the tongue is licentious speech, and the adultery of the hand is the embrace, and the adultery of the feet is to walk to the place where he intends to commit adultery and the heart yearns and desires which he may or may not put into effect.”
[Narrated by Abu Hurayra. Sahih Muslim volume IV B, pg.215. no 2657]

“Allaah wishes to lighten (the burden) for you; and man was created weak (cannot be patient to leave sexual intercourse with woman).”
Suurah an-Nisa’ 4:28

Therefore, those among us who are not married, get married and if you cannot get married, fast as it is the Sunnah of Rasuullaah, Sunnah Qawliya.

Rasuulullah (saws) said, 'O group of youth! Whoever from among you can marry should do so because it keeps the gaze low and it protects the private parts. And he who cannot marry should make it compulsory upon himself to fast because it breaks lust.'
[Narrated by Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’uud]

Let us not follow the footsteps of Shaytaan and lower our gaze since we are the best of nations as Allaah has clearly stated in our beloved book and He has promised us Paradise…

“But for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires and lusts. Verily, Paradise will be his abode.”
Suurah Naaz’iaat 79:40-41
